Dr. David Mancini, Chiropractor
Dr. Mancini began his pre-chiropractic education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he graduated with an Exercise Physiology degree. After completing his studies there he was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of chiropractic medicine in 1895.

"I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I was treated by the chiropractor for the first time. So I make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that."

Everyone benefits from chiropractic care. Newborns, infants, teenagers, baby boomers and even seniors. You don't always have to be in pain to see Dr. Mancini. That's why they call it "preventative medicine." Staying aligned now can prevent chronic disease in the future.

But if you are in pain or have a specific condition, Dr. Mancini will be here to listen, care for you and help you get back to enjoying the regular activities of daily living. Chiropractic Adjustments: The Most Essential Part of Your Care
Spinal joints that aren't moving right can choke or irritate nearby nerves. These are called "subluxations" or "misalignments". Chiropractic adjustments add motion to these stuck joints, reducing nervous system disruption. Then, health can return. Patients often report a pleasant sense of release directly following their adjustments.

When the neurological circuits have integrity the body works as it was designed. When spinal vertebrae are out of alignment, the body doesn't work the way it should, causing ill-health.

The Doctor's Techniques
Dr. Mancini uses a number of highly effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach he decides to use is based on his judgment and experience. The primary adjusting techniques he uses include:

Diversified
After identifying which spinal bones have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is administered to free up "stuck" joints.

Activator
This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a hand-held adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.

Thompson
Thompson Terminal Point technique is a system of analysis and a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine. Commonly known as a "drop" adjustment.

Flexion-Distraction
This non-force approach uses a special table so we can traction your spine, relieving pressure to compressed spinal discs and facet joints.

Other Modalities
Along with the spinal adjustment, Dr. Mancini also incorporates the newest technology to help speed up the healing process and retrain your spine.

Heat Therapy
At the beginning of each treatment session, moist heat therapy is applied to the spine and surrounding musculature to help aid in reducing stress and tension, making the adjustment that much more comfortable.

Cold Laser Therapy
Low level laser therapy can penetrate into the musculature or joint space to reduce pain, inflammation and break up scar tissue. It can be used for many other issues as well, such as sports injuries, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, arthritis, etc. The treatment is pain free. Rehab and Exercise
Every one is unique and adjustments may not be the only answer. That's why Dr. Mancini creates specific exercise routines to re-educate the muscles of the spine. Whether it be from an automobile accident, a fracture or a fall, the muscles need to be restrengthened to help stabilize the progress and get stronger for future activities.

Wellness Products and Support

Dr. Mancini also offers many support systems that help maintain his patients progress when they are outside of his office performing normal activities of daily living. Here is more information about that support:
